📚 Why We're Not Waiting for Schools to Catch Up on AI
“AI education is coming to schools.”
You’ve probably seen the headlines — like this global overview — highlighting how some countries are introducing AI into classrooms. And sure, it’s a good start. But let’s be honest: it’s not enough. It’s not moving fast enough. And it's nowhere near where it needs to be.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT is doing your teen’s homework. Deepfakes are popping up on TikTok. And your 8-year-old is asking why Alexa always knows the answer.
So what now?
🎓 What Schools Aren’t Teaching (Yet)
Only a small group of countries — China, South Korea, Singapore — have taken serious steps to add AI education to national curricula. Most others are dabbling, piloting, or just trying to get their teachers trained. And in the meantime, our kids are interacting with AI daily — often without any adult helping them understand how it works, what it means, or what to be cautious about.
The truth? AI education is too important to be left to schools alone.
That’s why this newsletter exists.
đź’Ľ What Happens When 500,000 Jobs Disappear?
According to AI Newz World, we’ve already seen over 500,000 jobs wiped out by AI automation. This isn’t a warning — it’s happening.
The kids we're raising today will be working in a world where:
Entry-level tasks are handled by AI assistants
Interviews may be conducted by algorithms (this is hapenning already)
Entire industries may look completely different
And no, they won’t all become coders or robot engineers. But they will need to understand how AI works. How to use it, question it, and make it work for them — not the other way around.
👨‍👩‍👧 That’s Where We Come In
AI Parenting Guide is here because we believe parents deserve a clear, no-jargon roadmap through the AI age. We break it down weekly:
